Who we are

We lead the recycle process in Oman

Arab Lead Company (ALC) LLC is having a state of the art Recycling Facility for processing Used Lead Acid Batteries for their safe disposal and environmental protection.

It is a pioneering project in the Sultanate of Oman for the proper disposal of Batteries with respect to both the Local and International Emission Standards.

Capacity and Technology

The 30 tons/day Battery Recycling facility is the first of its kind in terms of the specific project and also a full-fledged recycling unit of any recyclables in the Sultanate of Oman.

ALC is assembling the best technologies available in the Recycling Industry in its recycling facility and works under the approved agent for managing the environmental protection services by the Ministry of Environment, Oman.

Sustainability and better future

- Lead has one of the highest recycling rates in the world, higher even than better known recycled items such as glass or newspaper. It is also the most recycled metal of all those commonly used, far greater than aluminium, copper or zinc

- Lead-acid batteries, the world’s most recycled consumer product, is the main application for lead metal.

- Unlike most materials lead can be recycled indefinitely without any reduction in quality, making it ideal for a circular economy.

- Lead recycling makes an important contribution to sustainable development, easing the pressure on non-renewable resources and reducing carbon emissions through a simple and energy-efficient recovery process.
